The Cheerful Tortoise is one of Portland's oldest bars. During the last 13 years we have turned this college bar into one of Portland Best Sports Bars around. Even though it is still staggering distance from Portland State University and it is consequently a favorite of students. The Cheerful Tortoise has everything you need as a sports fan. We currently feature 52 TV's and 9 satellite systems to keep you up to date on sports all day long. We have a rule that every TV must be showing sports at all times. We have 5 different areas for large groups to enjoy themselves, and we also now have a non- smoking room that has 6 plasma TV's so you can enjoy our establishment with out all the smoke. The Cheerful Tortoise offers cheap drinks and inexpensive food. "All Sports, all the Time!"
